Race for the Cure 2009

This year my daughters and I decided to participate in the "Susan G. Komen, Race for the Cure 5K". It took place in downtown Birmingham and was a great experience. My grandmother was a breast cancer survivor and I knew that she was looking down smiling on us as we participated in this worthy event. It was a rainy day which reminded me of that song "Holes in the floor of Heaven". We were also racing in celebration of and with my dear friend and breast cancer survivor, Debra Perry. This experience was great and we will definitely make this an annual event. I really enjoyed sharing this with Debra, my daughters, and Debra's family.

Kids playing dress up

Breanna and McKenzie were playing dress up and Andrew decided that he wanted to join in the fun. After lipstick, he transformed into SPIDERMAN!!! They had so much fun.
